1. Is it possible to magnify the mouse cursor with HyperLens?

Yes. With full cursor enhancements now you can change the size, color and opacity of mouse cursors on the Cursor Effects page.

HyperLens now supports cursor size up to 128 x 128 pixels, which is 8 times of the default Windows cursor size. See the screenshot below.

2. What is the Enhanced Mode in HyperLens?

In Enhanced Mode, HyperLens uses hardware overlay surface to display the lens, and is capable of viewing layered or transparent windows and objects, such as some desktop enhancements and widgets, balloon hints, etc.

(Note: If your video card does not support hardware overlay, the Normal Mode will be used instead.)

3. Why some windows and objects are not displayed in HyperLens?

The layered or transparent windows and objects are not displayed in Normal Mode, please use Enhanced Mode instead.

To use HyperLens in Enhanced Mode, on the Lens Settings page in the HyperLens main window, select the Enhanced Mode option in the Lens Mode group, and click the Apply button at the right side.

4. I use a shell replacement called Emerge Desktop, why doesn't HyperLens display it?

Because the program consists of layered or transparent windows and objects. To avoid the problem, please use HyperLens in Enhanced Mode.

5. I have ZoneAlarm ForceField installed on my computer, why doesn't the lens display correctly?

It is due to a well-known conflict of the Anti-Spyware setting in ZoneAlarm ForceField (Block programs that secretly record your keystrokes\Always). You can change this setting on the Settings\Advanced page to avoid the problem.

6. In full-screen mode, does HyperLens support unlimited screen resolutions?

Yes. HyperLens works smoothly with almost all screen resolutions.

7. Is it possible to toggle Full-screen/Shaped Lens by pressing a hotkey?
Yes. You can do that by press <Ctrl + Shift + F>, you can also change this hotkey setting on the Shortcuts page in the HyperLens main window.
8. How can I set the lens at a fixed position on screen?
You can do that by locking it. By default the lens will track the movement of mouse cursor, move the mouse to position the lens and press the Lock/Unlock hotkey, the default is <Ctrl + Shift + L>, you can also change this hotkey setting on the Shortcuts page in the HyperLens main window.
9. When I run HyperLens in Windows 7 Professional, it seems that the Color Scheme has been changed to Windows 7 Basic. Why does this happen?
HyperLens needs to temporarily disable Desktop Composition (Aero effects) to work more smoothly with Windows Vista and Windows 7, for better performance. And of course, when the program exits, it will restore the Desktop Composition settings.
